Xinyu High-tech Eco-Environment Bureau Deploys "Hardcore" Equipment to Build a 3D Environmental Monitoring System

The Gaoxin Ecological Environment Bureau of Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province, has officially integrated Wuhan Shilong Technology Co., Ltd.'s SL-GPR wireless ground-penetrating radar (for detecting concealed pipes) and the SL-200C digital HD pipe inspection robot. These advanced tools enhance underground network monitoring and inspections, establishing a three-dimensional environmental supervision system that integrates satellite observation, ground surveys, and subsurface detection.

Recently, the Gaoxin Ecological Environment Bureau of Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province, officially introduced two high-tech devices from Wuhan Shilong Technology Co., Ltd.—the SL-GPR wireless ground-penetrating radar (for detecting hidden pipes) and the SL-200C digital HD pipe inspection robot. This initiative aims to strengthen the monitoring and inspection capabilities of underground pipelines in the region, enhancing early warning and response levels for potential environmental pollution risks.

1. Dual-Equipment Synergy: Tackling Hidden Discharge Monitoring Challenges

The newly introduced SL-GPR wireless ground-penetrating radar features a fully digital design controlled by software, offering advanced capabilities such as software-adjustable sampling and wireless non-contact measurement. Its integrated antenna-and-host unit ensures a compact, lightweight form factor for easy portability and operation, while delivering high-quality data and exceptional acquisition efficiency. The radar accurately detects geological hazards including karst formations, subsidence, and underground voids. In municipal pipeline surveys, it clearly maps the distribution of both metallic and non-metallic underground utilities, providing robust technical support for identifying potential illicit discharge pipes during environmental enforcement operations.

The SL-200C digital HD pipe inspection robot, deployed for simultaneous use, consists of four main components: the main controller, cable reel, crawler, and camera. With advanced intelligence and networking capabilities, it is easy to operate. It meets inspection requirements for pipes made of various materials with diameters ranging from DN150 to DN3000 mm, whether filled with water or dry. Law enforcement personnel can control the crawler's movement within the pipe via the human-machine interface on the main controller. High-definition images captured inside the pipe are transmitted in real time to a terminal, enabling on-site monitoring, video storage, and image capture. A single click generates an assessment report compliant with industry standards.

II. Empowering Law Enforcement with Technology to Enhance Precision and Regulatory Efficiency

A spokesperson from the Xinyu High-tech Ecological Environment Bureau stated that introducing these two advanced devices will significantly enhance the precision and efficiency of environmental monitoring and enforcement. They enable rapid acquisition of accurate data, particularly for identifying hidden discharge pipelines and monitoring underground network operations, providing a scientific basis for timely detection and resolution of environmental issues. This supports the creation of a greener, more livable environment in the high-tech zone.

3. Build a Multi-Dimensional Regulatory System to Strengthen Ecological Protection

Next, the Xinyu High-tech Eco-Environmental Bureau will further advance the adoption of cutting-edge equipment by integrating these two systems into routine environmental monitoring to establish a three-dimensional regulatory framework covering aerial surveillance, ground inspections, and subsurface exploration. The bureau will also strengthen collaboration with research institutions and technology companies to drive innovation in environmental monitoring, exploring deep integration of big data and artificial intelligence with monitoring devices to enhance predictive capabilities and response efficiency for environmental issues. Additionally, leveraging these advanced tools, the bureau will progressively implement full-cycle dynamic monitoring of key enterprises, industrial parks, and underground pipelines surrounding water bodies within its jurisdiction, upholding higher standards and stricter requirements to fortify ecological protection barriers and contribute to Xinyu's ecological civilization development.
